As a mother, I understand how much you cherish photos of your children. In fact, I dare say some of the pictures I hold closest to my heart are the ones that aren’t fit for the entryway. They are the messy, maybe even a bit blurry, photos where time stood still, the ones that I can look at and feel like I was right back in that moment. That feeling of freezing time for just a few more seconds is the heart of In His Image Heirlooms.
My goal is that when you open up your gallery of images all the precious little details, their smiley nose scrunch, their missing front tooth, the one curl that just does it's own thing, everything that a mother’s heart holds dear, is captured in a classic and timeless way.

asked questions
What is the best age for heirloom portraits?
There really isn’t a certain age that is best for portraits. As long as the baby has good head control and can sit up with assistance, we can do it! There is no age too old either. It all depends on what stage of life you want to capture most or what stage of life you are currently in!
How long is a session?
Most of the time, we can get everything we need within the first 10 minutes. We allot 15 minutes per session just in case we need to give the child a break, let them eat a quick snack, let them run laps, quick diaper change or fix their hair.
Does is matter what shoes or bottoms we bring?
These heirloom photos are only shoulders up so if your child wants to wear their light up sneakers (or crocs) then that is totally fine! Shoes, bloomers, pants, etc will not be shown in the photos.
What if my child is having a bad day?
I have two children (2 and 3) and they are 11 months apart so I have seen my fair share of meltdowns and tantrums. I understand children have good days and days where everything is just off. We will do our best to make the child happy and comfortable during your session.
What is you cancellation policy?
We totally understand that kids get sick (more than we would hope) and family emergencies happen. Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to a new date. Please let us know as soon as possible if you know that you will not be able to make your scheduled session.
